I just got back from the Lake Michigan Art Walk. It was one of those weeks that was go go go trying to get ready. This week a spent a lot of time focusing on my framed paintings. They are continuing to evolve. Here is an example of my newest painting. I have added a lot more textile and some flowers made out of egg cartons.

My watercolor magnets are continuing to gain popularity along with my greeting cards. To see those and more pictures from the art walk click here.

Late Fall Summary

Well here we are it is 11/11/10 and it has been a while, but I promise to work on posting more frequently. Last week I was at the "Recycled Art Market" at City High in Grand Rapids, MI.

This weekend I will be at the Lake Michigan Art Walk.

Working hard on my etsy store. Making lots of improvements.

Today I was assisting Artgoodies in her studio.

I will be having an event on December 4th at Minty Keen in downtown Grand Rapids where you can get custom portraits of pets painted--a great gift idea for the animal lover you know. There will be more information on that soon. Until then enjoy these pictures from this weeks restock.

In January I will be doing a bedroom makeover for a little boy!

Hope all is well! Happy post halloween and pre thanksgiving :)

It has been an extremely busy month, between entering an animation into Artprize, acquiring work for retail store Minty Keen, and selling Funamals at "Art Fair 2010" at DeVos Place, it has been quite a whirlwind!

Here is a video documenting some of the fun!

I have been working on something special for a good friend of mine. She wanted people to be able to write a note to her and her husband at their wedding reception to put in a scrapbook. These are some of the pieces made for that.

Update!

It has been a while! I was having some issues with my blog. But now I have lots to show!

My nephew Hunter had his first birthday recently so I made him a cloth book all about fans. Hunter loves fans. He points to them whenever he sees them. We always joke that it will be his first word.

I had an "art sale" up at my cottage. It was a fun weekend. We hung paintings along the ropes using clothes pins. I really like the look of it. Here are some photos of it.

The gator is for sale on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/listing/49126667/the-alligator as well as the upcycled coasters. They are made from tin cans, plastic and repurposed fabric. They are hand sewn.

The "Lifemouse" photo is the image I am working on to promote my artprize piece. It is a stop motion animation. http://www.artprize.org/artists/public-profile/48604

This fish is on a laptop sleeve that I made, also on sale http://www.etsy.com/listing/53504464/fishy-textile-laptop-case
