Inspiration Tuesday

I splurged and bought myself a kitschy little stamp.  I love stamps but never use them.  As an artist I have always felt pressure to use my own artwork for everything.  I love this stamp because every time I use it I think about how important it really is to enjoy today.  What a great, cheerful reminder!

My new studio is starting to spiff up!  The sun was shining, which is unusual for a typical January in West Michigan so I shot a few photos in hopes to cheer you up.  Happy Tuesday!

Sometimes I go to paint work for clients and I forget how to paint.  I am really behind on commissions right now, but I still couldn't seem to get the brush to do what I wanted it to do.  It's like when you first wake up in the morning and you feel groggy.  The first brush strokes are a little bit off.  So tonight I painted my Betta fish "Rain" for good exercise. :)

Update!

It has been a while! I was having some issues with my blog. But now I have lots to show!

My nephew Hunter had his first birthday recently so I made him a cloth book all about fans. Hunter loves fans. He points to them whenever he sees them. We always joke that it will be his first word.

I had an "art sale" up at my cottage. It was a fun weekend. We hung paintings along the ropes using clothes pins. I really like the look of it. Here are some photos of it.
